This year’s Largs Food Festival was bigger and better than ever; with over 50 stalls, theatre style cookery demonstrations, live music, café’s, children’s shows and face painting, there was something for all the family.

This now annual event was staged on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd May in an undercover marquee at the grassed area of the Promenade. Like last year, there were talks on food and drink staged at venues in the town centre.

The cost for this feast of family fun was just £4.00 per adult with children admitted free! That’s not all; attendees were given a free goodie bag on entry, containing many special offers. There were also plenty of opportunities to sample a wide range of mouth-wateringly delicious food and drink inside the marquee.

All manner of delicious delicacies were on offer from local, regional and national food suppliers. Visitors’ taste-buds were teased by confectionary and ices, chillies and cheese, cakes and coffee, popcorn and potatoes and even vegetables to venison and whisky to wine. From bakers and butchers to fishmongers and fruit suppliers plus vegetarian companies too, it was all on offer at Largs Food Fest 2016!

For children, they had their very own food theme children’s shows, created and performed by local theatre production company Scotchbroth, and back by popular demand were the amazing face painters. And an extra attraction this year was the walk about magician who mesmerised festival visitors with close up magic tricks! All this was free for children attending the Festival with their families.

Largs Food Fest will be back again in 2017 – keep in touch with for details.
